New Jobs/Local Employment
The project will create more than 200 temporary jobs during the six-to-eight month construction phase. Beech Ridge expects to conclude an agreement with the representatives of the West Virginia construction trade unions in the very near future to make sure that this project is built with West Virginia Union Labor.
Upon completion, 20 permanent jobs will be created, with full benefits, at an average annual salary of approximately $35,000. These jobs will require extensive training. For this reason, Beech Ridge strongly prefers to hire local workers for permanent positions whenever possible, so that extensive investments made in training pay-off with the establishment of a stable workforce that is committed to living in the area for the long term. There are no minimum wage positions associated with the project during either the construction or operation phases.
